Honey Garlic Chicken
(slow cooker recipe)
Ingredients:
3 Large chicken breasts
1/2 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Braggs Liquid Amino
1/4 Cup Blackberry Jam
1/4 Cup Hoisin Sauce
2 Tbsp Olive oil
3 Cloves garlic, minced
1/2 Cup Onion , diced
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
Sliced scallions
Sesame seeds
Directions:
Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, liquid amino, blackberry jam, hoisin, olive oil, garlic, onion and pour sauce over chicken. Cover and cook the chicken on LOW for 4 to 5 hours until chicken is fully cooked.
Remove chicken from slow cooker (reserving liquids) and shred chicken into smaller pieces. Place shredded chicken in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch with 3 Tbsp of cold water.
Transfer liquids from slow cooker into a small saucepan set over medium-high heat and whisk in cornstarch slurry. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook it until it has thickened slightly, about 3 minutes. Pour sauce over chicken, tossing to combine. Serve the chicken topped with sliced scallions, sesame seeds and with a side of organic long grain rice.
